Pragmatic Asana is a yoga operation that brings solid gold to the table for businesses and individuals. It was born from years of experience spent in various industries and departments in the work world, managing teams in behavioral health, and a personal journey of applying yoga and wellness tools to solve problems. We bring yoga and breathwork sessions to the workplace and comprehensive instruction & support to the individual.

Our goal when bringing a class to any workplace is not just to de-stress the employees, but to inject positivity, vitality, and individual ownership into the environment. We’ve seen it work wonders in very high stress places of business. People usually come out of a session more pleasant, more productive, and getting along better than before. They seem to be less in blame mode, and more in the mode of taking accountability and acting with integrity. Why?

We don’t just put on a basic yoga class. Our approach is shaped by years of experience in management, leading behavioral health teams, preceded by years of experience in operations & client support roles. We understand the minds and hearts of workers, as well as the common issues that management is often trying to solve with regards to culture, burn-out, and performance. From that understanding, we use no-nonsense tools rooted in modern psychology, mindfulness, social science, and self-regulation—all woven into a yoga or breathwork session—to get people feeling, thinking, and acting in ways that are better for everyone. 

We can’t make every employee into a superstar, but you will notice a shift in those who participate, and you’ll probably hear rave reviews and many thanks from your staff.

When working 1:1 with individuals, our focus is the physical practice of yoga. We start by gathering as much information as possible about how your unique body works, what recommendations have been made to you in the past, and what it is that you want to get out of asana practice.

From there, we put together custom options for learning more about how your body works in the context of yoga, meeting your goals, and establishing a solid foundation for practicing out in “the wild” for a lifetime. (Not sure if you’ve been to some of the public offerings out there, but they can be pretty… interesting.)

While we love our clients and would love to see you long-term, our goal is actually to give you all the knowledge and skills you need to go about your yoga practice in a way that is nourishing and safe for your body, so that when you visit classes at your local studio, you’re armed with the knowledge of proper alignment principles and how to handle cues that aren’t right for you. No more trying to copy your neighbor while they do bad things to their lower back.
